The 2019 MDLA Golf Outing was held at the Oak Marsh Golf Course on Friday, August 2, 2019. An afternoon was enjoyed by Dental Laboratory owners and technicians throughout Minnesota.

Creative Occasions would like to thank the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library for a great event on Sunday, March 4, 2018. Over 250 employees from Cost Cutters enjoyed a great day of education with speaker Alicia Rainwater, a delicious luncheon prepared by Winifred's Catering, and the personal touches from Bethany Freeman at NCSM. A special thank you goes out to Sarah Clark with Zephyr Weddings for preparing the invitations and communication pieces for the day! Great job to Shelby Jamison for your hard work on the event!

Everett & Krista Krug celebrated 50 years of Marriage with an Open House at their home on Saturday, December 23, 2017. Over 100 guests stopped in for hors d’oeuvres and a champagne toast for the beautiful couple.

Event planning is such a beautiful profession! Creative Occasions was able to plan a special baptism celebration with Father Dennis Quint and Adeline Marie Jamison on Saturday, December 22, 2017. The day was so special with family but having your granddaughter wear your wedding dress was priceless! What a wonderful surprise for my daughter!

Creative Occasions worked closely with Rapid Crush and provided table tents and name badges for their December 2017 Cabo Meeting.

Another year of deliveries ... a special THANK YOU goes out to Airport Shuttle for allowing Creative Occasions to be a part of their gift giving to their employees and customers again this year during the holiday season.

Twelve young girls enjoyed a gymnastics party for Lucy! The party took place on Friday, December 1st at Life Time Fitness in Des Moines, Iowa. The girls had an hour of gymnastics with a trainer, celebrated with Lucy, and made their own colored pillow cases. What a fun day!

What a beautiful venue for a special group of employees from Evans Enterprises. Employees celebrating over 5 years of service enjoyed dinner and a great night of recognition at the Eastbank Venue & Lounge located in the iconic Smulekoff's building in downtown Cedar Rapids. Thank you goes out to Mary & Joni Evans for a beautiful evening!

Creative Occasions had the opportunity to plan the 2017 Northland Exhibition at the Treasure Island Casino & Resort in Welch, Minnesota. Creative Occasions has been working with the association for over 10 years and has taken care of all of the conferences, membership dues, quarterly board meetings, and golf tournaments. They enjoy working with the Exhibitors, Presenters, Sponsors, Members, and all attendees.

On Saturday, September 23, 2017, Dr. & Mrs. Murtha gave away their beautiful daughter, Jennifer. Creative Occasions was hired as a day-of-coordinator and made the day extra special for all of the guests.

Creative Occasions decorated and worked with Ann & Jay on a private dinner party. The celebration was enjoyed by six couples in the client's backyard. What a beautiful day!

Mercy Medical Center and Wolfe Eye Clinic, together with the City of Hiawatha, celebrated the opening of the new facility with a ribbon cutting ceremony, tours, and a picnic on Friday, July 21, 2017.

Happy 1st Anniversary to The Family Caregivers Center of Mercy. A “stop in and visit” with Kathy Good and the volunteer coaches in the community, along with food and music was held at this community treasure (901 8th Avenue SE, Cedar Rapids) for the care givers of Alzheimers and dementia stricken loved ones. A special thanks goes out to Mercy Medical Center for hiring Creative Occasions!

The Family Caregivers Center of Mercy hosted an evening of music and dance at the “Care to Dance” fundraising event on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at The Hotel at Kirkwood Center. The St. Louis Big Band featuring an 18-piece big band performed swing and hot jazz from the 1930s and 1940s.

Creative Occasions would like to thank Tim Charles, President & CEO at Mercy Medical Center, Kathy Good, Director of the Family Caregivers Center of Mercy, and Sue Hawn, President of the Mercy Foundation for allowing them to be a part of the great celebration!

Mercy Medical Center and Alliant Energy joined forces to light the night pink on Thursday, October 6, 2017 at the Hall-Perrine Cancer Center. The Power of Pink event is an event to kickoff National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Creative Occasions was happy to be able to work with the Mercy team to bring an evening of fun followed by a lighting ceremony and giveaways to promote awareness and early detection.

Thank you to the Midwest Dental Laboratory Association for allowing Creative Occasions the opportunity to plan their 41st Annual Northland Exhibition. Creative Occasions has been working with the MDLA and IDLA for nine years by organizing the Annual Northland Exhibition, Annual Golf Outings, Annual Membership Mailings, and Quarterly Educational Meetings.

Creative Occasions worked directly with Amvac Chemical on the 2016 Farm Progress Show by booking hotel accommodations along with dinner engagements with potential clients.

Celebrating 25 Years . . . DuPont employees and families enjoyed "Movie Night" at the ballpark on Saturday, August 13, 2016. Over 150 attended the family fun with a balloon artist, face painting, inflatables, ballpark food, and the movie Sandlot was shown on the jumbo screen.

A special celebration took place the week of July 18-22, 2016 at DuPont as employees enjoyed a Belgian Waffle Breakfast, Gifts, a Luncheon Buffet with Steak Sandwiches, and an Ice Cream Station with 25 different toppings. Thank you to Dan Kempf, Kevin Burt, Sarah Clark at Zephyr Weddings, Take the Cake Cupcake, and Winifred's Catering for bringing this all together!

Thank you to The Creative Gene for hiring Creative Occasions to help assist with the 2016 Commodity Classic on March 3-5, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Hotel accommodations were booked at the Crowne Plaza French Quarter and meetings were scheduled at the Palace Café for the management team.

Amvac Chemical was part of the 2016 Iowa Power Farming Show in Johnston, Iowa. Creative Occasions was able to book all of their hotel accommodations and schedule their annual Corn Meeting at the DoubleTree by Hilton Des Moines Airport. What a successful meeting!

What a fun evening of fine dining and great dancing at the Cedar Rapids Marriott on Saturday, January 16, 2016. Xavier High School was the host of the 1st Annual Dancing with the Saints fundraising event. Jeff Henderson and Liz Mathis were the Emcees for the evening and the judges were Scott Saville, Micki Schiling Feldmann, and Chuck Long. Congratulations to all of the dancers on bringing this event together! Hope you can join us for the 2nd Annual Dancing with the Saints event on Saturday, January 14, 2017.

What a beautiful setting for the 2015 Employee 5-Year Anniversary Celebration. Over 90 guests from Evans Enterprises enjoyed a very elegant night at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum, 4th Floor Ballroom, overlooking the Cedar River.  A special thank you goes out to Covington & Company for the stunning décor, Winifred’s Catering for the delicious cuisine, and Pete Hagstrom for an evening filled with great music.

So happy to help organize the 40th Annual Midwest Dental Laboratory Association (MDLA) 2015 Northland Exhibition at the Treasure Island Casino & Resort, in Welch, Minnesota. The MDLA is an organization comprised of laboratories, individual technicians, and product & service suppliers from Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Creative Occasions was able to provide full event coordination and management with over 200 attendees; including presenters and exhibitors.

Dodging weather, we successfully orchestrated the ground breaking festivities for the official groundbreaking of MercyCare Prairie Creek, located just East of Kirkwood Community College, in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Creative Occasions organized and provided day-of event management for a Mercy Medical Center Groundbreaking Ceremony on August 5, 2015. The new medical park will be located at 1195 Boyson Road in Hiawatha, Iowa.

It was a pleasure working with Rapid Crush, Inc. on conference logistics for their three-day conference. From event deliverables to meeting management, we were able to deliver a successful series of meetings! A special thank you to the Cedar Rapids Marriott, Color Web Printing, delicious food by LJ’s Catering, photography by Dan Kempf, and music by Drew Hurn.

Creative Occasions has been working with The Gazette on the Iowa Wedding EXPO for the past six years. What an exciting time for brides and their wedding party. There were over 500 brides and 1,500 total attendees at the 2015 Iowa Wedding EXPO on Sunday, January 4, 2015.

As Eastern Iowa’s premier event planning and management firm, Creative Occasions was able to build a fabulous Runway Show over the past few years with the event taking place at the Coralville Marriott Hotel & Convention Center.

What an amazing conference for Converge Consulting! This three day conference was enjoyed by 150 attendees. A special THANK YOU goes out to the Sheraton Downtown Nashville for their unbelievable customer service and Dan Kempf from Impact Photo who took great shots of the meeting.
